The OnePlus Nord series has received quite a mix of reviews from OnePlus and other Android fans in general, especially with the upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 3. After launching three smartphones in the flagship range and Nord CE 2 Lite 5G in its midrange cadre, there are rumors for two new phones. Well, we would keep the OnePlus 11 Pro aside, and let’s discuss the star of the evening i.e. OnePlus Nord CE 3.
OnePlus Nord CE 3 Specifications Leaked
According to GadgetGang in association with OnLeaks who got their hands on complete specifications for the OnePlus Nord CE 3, the phone is likely to be announced sometime in Q1 or Q2 next year.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 is likely to keep the same CPU i.e. Snapdragon 695 5C onboard although getting a better SoC would be great. Moving on, the phone is likely to pack in a 6.7” LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on the clock. It is bigger than CE 2/Lite 5G which stands at 6.43” and 6.59” respectively.
The leaked specifications for the OnePlus CE 3 mention a 108MP primary cam flanked with two 2MP shooters so that’s a triple camera setup. I would say that OnePlus should have at least got an ultrawide snapper instead of putting two 2MP snappers which are for decorative purposes. Yes, they have some impact on the final photography results but it would be wrong to mention that smartphone manufacturers usually put these sensors to clock in those triple or quad-camera setup monikers for branding. The front, on the other hand, has a 16MP snapper which isn’t surprising.
Moving on, the phone is likely to up its game in the storage section so we could see a higher 256GB storage instead of just 128GB. The RAM gets an upgrade as well so now you have either 8GB or 12GB of RAM storage to choose from.
Although the folks at GadgetGang have mentioned that there’s a 67W fast charging tech flanked with a 5000mAh battery, the former is still unknown. It is safe to assume that OnePlus will include a 67W charging tech given the last phone in the Nord series – CE 2 Lite 5G, had a 67W charging support.
The upcoming OnePlus Nord CE 3 5G does offer a few upgrades over its predecessor. We have slightly better cameras, larger battery, fast charging, more storage configuration, and a few things here and there. It remains to be seen just what pricing OnePlus Nord CE 3 launched at in India that will decide whether the phone is worth upgrading or not.
