February 7 was a busy day for OnePlus as it held its global Cloud 11 event launching a new lineup of products in India and globally. The OnePlus 11 5G and the OnePlus 11R 5G were released during the event and the latter is a rebranded version of the OnePlus Ace 2 released in China during the same event. Successor to OnePlus 10R and a sibling to OnePlus 11 5G, let’s check out what the 11R has brought onboard this year.
OnePlus 11R Pricing India & Availability
OnePlus launched the OnePlus 11R in India in two trims. The base variant with 8GB+256GB fetches INR 39,999/- while the top-of-the-line 16GB+256GB takes a price tag of INR 44,999/- which is approx INR 10,000/- lower than the flagship OnePlus 11 5G. Both the trims will be available in Galactic Silver and Sonic Black (again, OnePlus has rocked with the nomenclature for the colours).
You can pick up your device from the OnePlus website, Amazon, or major retail stores available in India from February 28 whereas the pre-orders kick-start on February 21.
For comparison, the pricing for the OnePlus 11R compared with the OnePlus 10R is largely cheaper even when you compare it with the 80W variant.
OnePlus 11R Specifications: A Leap Forward
The Chinese electronics maker OnePlus hasn’t left any stone unturned with the OnePlus 11R which is almost equivalent to the flagship phone in many ways. The OnePlus 11R arrives with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood as a major upgrade over Dimensity 8100-Max that we saw in the OnePlus 10R.
There’s an Adreno 730 GPU handling the graphics while LPDDR5X RAM with RAM-Vita up to 16GB lets you carry out all your tasks at a lightning-fast speed. OnePlus 11R 5G uses Android 13-fueled OxygenOS 13.
It is safe to say that you wouldn’t feel much difference in design between the OnePlus 11 5G and 11R 5G so that’s amazing. The 6.74” curved 1,240×2,772 pixels 120Hz Super Fluid Display with a punch-hole cut-out on top. The device uses a 40-120Hz Adaptive Dynamic Frame Rate to improve its performance in various scenarios.
Last year, we saw the OnePlus 10R 5G with two charging systems i.e. 80W/5,000mAh and 150W/4,500mAh. This year, there’s only one configuration at 100W/5,000mAh that still gets you 100% charged in just 25 minutes.
On the optics, there’s a 50MP Sony IMX890 primary cam replacing the IMX766 from last year.s There’s 8MP 120° ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro sensor with a max [email protected] video recording. A 16MP shooter sits at the front flush with the display.
Talking about listing all the other features you’ll get with the OP11R, there’s USB Type-C 2.0, 5G, Bluetooth v5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, an under-the-display fingerprint reader, NFC, an IR port, and a stereo speaker to name a few.
