With an array of leaks spewing around since months, the rise in the hype around the Chinese manufacturer’s upcoming flagship phone – the OnePlus 6, has been progressive. Talking about the global debut, silence is all we hear. However, for the Indian launch, it isn’t as quiet; as usual, Amazon India (Amazon.in) will be partnering with OnePlus to launch their phone, and they already have a “Notify Me” registration page, going live tonight at 00:00 hrs (12:00 AM, midnight). You can check it out by clicking here.
Here is a quote from Director, Category Management, at Amazon India – Noor Patel:
“OnePlus 6 is inarguably one of the most anticipated smartphones in India today. We are glad to remain the partner of choice for such an iconic brand for over 3 years now and bring our customers exclusive access to the new OnePlus 6. Customers can visit the dedicated Amazon.in OnePlus 6 page at 00:00 hrs tonight and follow the instructions to get notified with updates for the new OnePlus 6,”
The OnePlus 6 has been rumored to sport a combination of either 6GB or 8 GB RAM, and 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB storage, priced progressively as the value surges. The phone is also rumored to come equipped with a 16 and 20-megapixel dual camera set up, as seen on the OnePlus 5 and 5T, an AMOLED screen with 19:9 aspect ratio (wider than Samsung’s 18.5:9), and the Snapdragon 845 chipset. The pricing exclusively revealed by us shows that the phone will start at around Rs.33,999 to Rs.36,999 for the base model and will pave its way up to Rs.44,999 to Rs.48,999 for the highest edition.
Just recently OnePlus rolled out “The Lab – OnePlus 6 Edition” wherein 15 users will get the opportunity to gain an early-permanent-access to the phone, and review it. Anyone matching their criteria is free to sign up by filling the relevant form out on the website. The form will remain accessible until 2nd of May, 2018 – 10:00 PM EDT (May 3rd, 2018 – 7:30 AM IST). The official launch is said to take place on May 5th, 2018 globally, and May 18th, 2018 in India. It’s only a matter of time now that OnePlus confirms the details.
