OnePlus 7 Pro Will Sport a Larger Haptic Engine – Fixes a Big Problem
There’s a lot of buzz around the upcoming OnePlus 7 Pro, however, there is only a little bit of information that OnePlus officials have actually confirmed and rest is something we got via numerous leaks, speculations, and whatnot. One of the features that OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently confirmed is an upgrade to OnePlus’s vibration motor.
It has been years since OnePlus users have a complaint about dampened vibration coming out of a haptic engine that creates vibrates to notify users about any call or text and stuff. I personally have missed a number of calls due to the weak vibration of my OnePlus 6 when it is in silent mode or when I am driving and can’t actually hear the ringtone buzzing when a call or text arrives.
Anyways, OnePlus has officially confirmed that it has worked out with its developers to create a suitable haptic engine that creates vibrations that are 200% stronger than the previous haptic engine. In fact, OnePlus added that it took some time to position the bigger haptic engine so that it’s size doesn’t increase the thickness of the upcoming flagship device and neither it creates an uneven vibration surface but it seems like OnePlus has achieved its goals thanks to the new haptic engine that we will get to see on May 14, Tuesday, when OnePlus will officially launch OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro & a 5G variant as well.
CNET refers a Reddit post created by a fellow user with the petition claiming “please put a good vibration motor on upcoming devices” which received 149 comments and 481 upvotes. It seems like OnePlus has actually heard the plea and taken action to fix this critical problem on its smartphones.
Pete Lau further added that they constantly seek out for user feedback regarding the characteristics and features on OnePlus devices and refine it as per the needs. No doubt OnePlus has successfully scaled up in terms of reputation and overall flagship smartphones shipped since it is uber popular in markets like India, China, and the U.S. In fact, T-Mobile will be the first U.S. telecom carrier to ship out OnePlus 7 Pro once its launch on May 14 in New York along with a number of launch events elsewhere around the globe. It recently spent around a million dollars just to advertise the upcoming flagship device in the front page of ‘The New York Times’.
OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei added that the device will have resistance against a bucket of water and such although it lacks any official certification needed for it as well. Check out this space to know more about OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
