October is already slaying in the tech world where we saw the launch of Google Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Samsung Galaxy A9 with first-time quadruple camera setup, LG launched its V40 ThinQ with triple camera setup and we will see OnePlus 6T and Huawei Mate 20 series this month too. So, talking about Huawei which recently took over as the second largest smartphone manufacturer in terms of units shipped, Huawei has launched Huawei Honor 8C which is a budget smartphone in China along with Honor 8X in Europe.

The Honor 8C is currently available for pre-orders in China at a price tag of CNY 1,100 for its 4GB/32GB internal storage model while the larger 4GB/64GB internal storage variant will fetch a price tag of CNY 1,400.

About the specifications, Honor 8C sports a 6.26″ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and has an Honor-like notch which is shorter in breadth that notches that other brands use. The device packs along a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC with octa-core i.e. four high-performance Kryo Cortex A73 cores and four high-efficiency Kryo Cortex A-53 cores made with a reliable 14nm manufacturing process which is good for an entry-level gaming smartphone.

The phone looks similar to Honor Play and Honor 7C with small bezels around the edges with a considerable chin at the bottom with the ‘Honor’ branding embossed on it. While at the back, it has a metal finish with dual vertically-aligned cameras on the left side sporting 13MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 which can take bright and quality images since the smaller the aperture, the greater the light enters within the sensor. On the front, the device has a standard 8MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 which can also take decent photos and videos.

The device will have dual-SIM support with VoLTE and will have Android Oreo 8.1 with the skin of EMUI 8.2 out-of-the-box. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4,000 mAh Li-Po non-removable battery with 10W charging capability. It will be available in two internal storage variant i.e. 32GB and 64GB that can be extended to 256GB using dedicated microSD slot and will be available at Vmall in China as of now.
