Poco has finally unveiled the mid-range Poco X5 Pro in India, replacing the Poco X4 Pro from last year, after several tweaks and speculations. The phone is equipped with several standout features, including a 120Hz display, 108MP cameras, 67W fast charging, Snapdragon 778G soC, and much more.
Although the phone may resemble Redmi phones, it is a sibling of the Redmi line. to rival alternatives such as the Motorola Edge 30, iQOO Z6 Pro, Redmi K50i, and others. Poco X5 Pro: Features, Specifications, and Highlights
This new mid-range device from the Xiaomi spinoff is driven by an Adreno 642L GPU and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. The MIUI 14 UI with POCO’s native launcher sits on top of Android 12 on this dual-SIM (Nano) 5G smartphone.
It has a 6.67-inch full-HD+ Xfinity AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz adaptive and a maximum brightness of 900 nits. The display also supports HDR10+, has a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Additionally, there is up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of onboard UFS 2.2 storage. Poco recently announced the Poco X5 5G for the worldwide market, however, this is just for the Indian market.
While discussing the build quality. Although the Poco X5 Pro has similarities with the Redmi Note 12 series, it also boasts distinctive Poco features, such as the large rectangular block that houses the camera hump and is branded with the Poco logo and the company’s unique Poco Yellow hue.
“Astral Black” and “Horizon Blue” are additional color options for the Poco X5 Pro. The phone’s screen features a punch hole and flat edges. This design chooses a plastic build over the all-glass construction of the predecessor.
This Poco smartphone has a triple-rear camera arrangement with 108 megapixels that can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera all included, which is an improvement over the X4 Pro’s 64MP main camera. A 16MP selfie camera is also included. Portrait mode, panoramic, time-lapse, long exposure, night mode, slow-motion videos, Vlog mode, and tilt shift are just a few of the available camera capabilities.
The Poco X5 Pro 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 5W wired reverse charging capabilities.
An IR blaster, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone socket, twin stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 12-layer graphite heat dissipation, an X-Axis Linear Motor, and other features are included as additional features. It utilizes Android 12 and MIUI 14 software. The phone will receive three years of security upgrades in addition to two years of major OS updates.
Poco X5 Pro Price and Availability
The base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage Poco X5 Pro 5G costs Rs. 22,999, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs. 24,999. Flipkart is where this Poco smartphone will be offered. Well, the price may seem a bit higher for the specifications and branding but with ICICI credit cards or EMI transfers, you can receive a discount of Rs 2,000, lowering the final cost of the base variant to Rs 20,999.
