Chinese smartphone maker Vivo announced its sub-brand IQOO two days ago. And guess which is its first smartphone? It is none other than a foldable smartphone for which, renders were recently leaked on Chinese social media site Weibo which is enthralling as ever.

The renders leaked by the so-called tipster showcases a full edge-to-edge display with a folding-in mechanism and tiny bezels around the edges. The phone portrays a different design that the much talked about Samsung Galaxy F foldable phone touted to unveil on February 20 at Samsung’s UnPacked event.

Vivo is one of the innovative smartphone manufacturers in China with multiple first’s in the industry such as the first keyless Vivo Apex although that remained a concept. According to GSMArena, this iQOO smartphone could opt for the same keyless and port-less approach too although it is still a leaked concept and we haven’t heard anything about it as of now.

The device sports a fold-out design as said where the screen halves into two went folded and as per the renders are concerned, the device could opt for a 19.5:9 to 21:9 aspect ratio where the latter is dubbed to roll out with Sony Xperia XZ4, however, this is purely my understanding from the renders and it hasn’t been rumored or confirmed yet.

Further, Vivo smartphones range from 1,000 Yuan to 4,000 Yuan and since IQOO’s first smartphone is considered this iconic foldable phone, we believe that the sub-brand will have premium smartphone ranging approximately at 5,000 Yuan. This particular foldable phone could fetch as high as 7,000 Yuan or $1,000 which is still 30 percent less than the minimum quoted price tag for Samsung Galaxy F which is the goal after all.
