Realme is in full swing as it released its Realme 5 Series last month followed by Realme XT and Realme XT 730G but there’s more. The Chinese smartphone maker is gearing up for a launch event in China on September 24 where it will be launching Realme X2 which appears to be a successor to Realme X launched a few months ago although there it is dubious.

Realme posted a few teasers on its handle on Weibo teasing the upcoming Realme X2 with 64MP quad-camera setup at the back along with a 32MP front camera. Folks at India Today and GSMArena believe that it could be a rebranded version of Realme XT or it could be of Realme XT 730G which comes with a slightly enhanced Snapdragon 730G when compared to Snapdragon 712 used in the standard Realme XT but there’s a catch.

According to the post, the upcoming Realme X2 will have a 32MP selfie camera whereas XT 730G has a 16MP selfie shooter which has raised suspicion if it’s actually a rebranded version or a successor to Realme X.

Realme launched both Realme XT and Realme XT 730G with 64MP quad-camera set up earlier this month where the former is available for sales while the latter will go on sale in December. On the other hand, Realme is holding a launch event for Realme X2 on September 24 where it could launch the successor to X or it could be a rebranded XT 730G which will hint that the latter was made for China first followed by global launch which isn’t surprising for any Chinese smartphone brand so forth.

Realme introduced its upscaled 30W VOOC fast charging support with Realme XT 730G which means the new Realme X2 will also support it and will eventually become the first Realme device to get the improvement over what current Realme lineup has to offer i.e. 20W.

We don’t know much about the upcoming Realme X2 so far and thus, we will have to wait for a few days to get our first glimpse at the device along with specs and more.
