After releasing its most powerful flagship, Realme is shifting to the realm of 5G smartphones with the upcoming Realme X50 5G set to launch on January 7, 2020. The smartphone is set to arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset that was announced at the Qualcomm Summit in early December where Realme was the first to integrate it into their smartphones.

Based on a recent post on Chinese social media site Weibo, Wang Wei Derek, the Realme China’s product manager, the screenshot supposedly clicked on Realme X50 5G contains text that translates as “After one day or use” along with a battery life left of 62%. This indicates that the upcoming Realme X50 5G will have a powerful long-lasting battery although we aren’t sure about the battery size not the type of technology the Chinese smartphone maker will use to create the battery.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G is among the most power-efficient chipset rolled out by the San Diego-based chipmaker. It is manufactured on a 7nm process which is the same as Snapdragon 855 and 855+. It also comes with a 5G modem integrated into the chip rather than a separate 5G modem which draws in more power from the battery.

Realme smartphones are getting more powerful by the day such as recent Realme smartphones scored over 100 hours on battery endurance tests. This puts Realme X50 5G in the limelight as it is touted to come with a larger battery or battery life.

Apart from that, Realme X50 5G will support simultaneous 5G and Wi-Fi connections that should ease downloads and streaming. The phone is likely to have a 6.6-inch LCD with a pill-shaped cutout from dual front camera setup. Finally, there will be a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The device is likely to get enhanced VOOC 4.0 that should charge the battery to 70% in just 30 minutes. Rumour has it that we are actually talking about a 4,500 mAh battery that Realme X50 5G could arrive with. The phone will sport a quad-camera setup at the back with 64MP primary camera while the front will be dominated with 32+8MP sensors.
