OxygenOS 5.1.11 is available as staged update for OnePlus 6

The latest update for OnePlus 6 is here though not for everyone. OnePlus has pushed out OxygenOS 5.1.11 on OnePlus 6 devices that will be a staged update where only a limited number of users will receive the update. Once the users and developers confirm that there are critical bugs with the OxygenOS 5.1.11, OnePlus will roll out the update for all the OnePlus 6 smartphones around the globe.

The update is attuned to fix the screen flickering issue observed by the users during daylight that was brought to OnePlus’ attention last month. The brand stated that this problem occurred when the adaptive brightness is turned on that controls bright ambient lighting conditions, etc. Another major update that this staged update has brought is new and improved HDR mode. Further, OnePlus has stated that is has resolved some general bugs and improvements with the update.

The memorandum also states that updating to OxygenOS 5.1.11 will provide sturdier and stable Wi-Fi connections as well as optimized network connection among other bug fixes. OnePlus has tweaked the PIN code option wherein now, the users can enter the PIN code and if it’s correct, the phone will automatically unlock. This eliminates the need to press the checkmark button every time you enter the PIN code to unlock the phone. The feature is accessible in Settings >> Security & lock >> PIN.
