According to a recent report, Samsung is planning to unveil their next S series flagship device in the month of January 2019. It is quite possible since the brand did the same thing with Galaxy S9 last year. Samsung Galaxy S9 was launch ahead of the schedule about a month before the unveiling of Galaxy S8.

We’re already aware that the Samsung is working on a foldable smartphone dubbed as Galaxy X. The much-hyped smartphone will make its way to the market next year most likely at the Mobile World Congress 2019. If you’re not aware MWC event always happens in the month of February. Since the Galaxy X will unveil in the month of February there is a high chance that company will launch the Galaxy S10 in January.

According to The Bell, Samsung has asked its partners to start the supply of parts for Galaxy X by November this year.  This South Korean publication claim that the foldable device is going to be launched at MWC Barcelona. The report further adds that the project codename has been changed from Valley to Winner. This might be an indication that the project has moved from the development phase to nearing release.

If the Galaxy X is going to launch at MWC then what about the Galaxy S10? It seems like the brand has pushed up the launch of their next S series flagship device. And, it does make sense. The brand would not want one device to steal the spotlight of the other. The report also claims that the Galaxy S10 will unveil at the Consumer Electronics Show which is the biggest tech trade show in the world. It is worth noting that Samsung hasn’t revealed any flagship smartphone at the CES stage for a long time. The brand might go with a standalone launch event for the next S-series device.
