Sony Xperia 10 II Launch Date and Pricing details Revealed in UK

Sony Xperia 10 II was announced back in February and it should have been released by the company at its online event at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2020). MWC 2020 was set to run from February 24th to February 27th but it has been canceled due to the health concerns in the wake of Coronavirus. The company later announced the Xperia 10 II’s recommended retail price in Europe. In Europe, the Sony Xperia 10 II was priced at 370 Euros. Now, the official price of this device in the UK is made clear by an online retailer.

The Xperia 10 II is available for pre-order from Clove Technology Store and is priced at £319.98 in the United Kingdom. Anyone can pre-order the device but the device will only be shipped on or after June 15th. This is an unusual strategy considering that it is taking almost four months to pass from a device’s announcement to its availability.

Sony Xperia 10 II Specifications

Sony Xperia 10 II features a 6.0-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. The cinematic display from old generation Sony devices takes a return here. The aspect ratio of this device is 21:9 and it looks like a device from 2018 with huge bezels. The screen-to-body ratio here is 77.81%. The display is sharp with 457 PPI. The display itself is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 6.

Underneath the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC. Adreno 610 handles the gaming duties here. Snapdragon 665 is a mid-range SoC and can perform any tasks you throw at it and coupled with Adreno 610 results in some good frame rates while gaming. The device is made available only in one storage variant. 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. Luckily, the storage is expandable up to 512 GB.

As for the cameras, there is a triple rear camera setup on the back of the device. The primary sensor is a 12 MP shooter. The secondary is an 8 Megapixel telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom. The third lens is an 8 MP Ultra-Wide angle camera. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie shooter. The Sony Xperia 10 II runs Android 10 out of the box with Xperia UI on top. Xperia UI is almost stock with a few changes here and there. All this is powered by a 3600 mAh battery with support for fast charging.

As discussed earlier, the device will be available in select markets starting June 15th, which is almost two months away from now. The Xperia 10 II was priced at 370 Euros in Europe and £319.98 in the United Kingdom. Sony Xperia 10 II will be available in two colors – Black and White.
