Facebook to support short videos as profile pictures

Bored with your profile picture? Same here. We all wished to get short videos and GIFs on Facebook which is now legit but did we think about getting it on our profile pictures?

Yes. Facebook is said to put up a feature on their website which will allow users to set a continuous loop of a video as their profile picture rather than the old fashioned motionless pictures. Pretty dope right?

Wait, there is more. Alongside this feature, Facebook is also bringing up an update which will allow users to set a “temporary” profile picture which will change to the permanent one after a specified amount of time. This feature will be useful during birthdays and other special events.

Other than that, the update will also bring a new customizable space at the top of your profile filling info like place of education, work and your current location which can be accompanied with a series of 5 or 6 photos.

iOS users will also be receiving an update which will shift the profile picture to the center making it more appropriate and larger at the same time. Photos and friends are also moved closer to the top of the page, which, according to Facebook, will help people get to know each other a little easier.
