1. Asus Zenfone 8 to come in three variants

  • With all the OnePlus hype, the leaks and rumors around the Asus Zenfone 8 series have become very rare. Now, we have our first details on the upcoming Zenfone 8 series, courtesy of XDA Developers.
  • The series also comprises a Mini device, which is Asus’ take on iPhone 12 Mini which features a 5.9-inch display. The vanilla Zenfone 8 and the 8 Pro arrives in a 6.69-inches display. All these displays are OLED and come with a 120Hz display refresh rate.
  • Under the hood, all these devices are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC.

2. OnePlus 9R confirmed to launch alongside the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro

  • OnePlus is very busy promoting its OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro but never had announced or teased the highly rumored OnePlus 9R.
  • In a recent interview with News18, OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau has revealed that the company is excited to bring the OnePlus 9R. The device itself will be targeted for a flagship experience at an affordable price.
  • Pete further adds that the device will focus on “smooth scrolling, immersive gaming controls, and a superior viewing experience.” The device also supports 5G connectivity out of the box.
  • The device is also expected to launch in China and India.

3. Realme CEO reveals Narzo 30 4G and Narzo 30 5G to launch in India soon

  • Realme India and Europe CEO, Madhav Sheth, in a recent video confirmed that the company will announce the Realme Narzo 30 series in India very soon.
  • For those unaware, the company has already launched the Narzo 30 Pro and Narzo 30A back in February, however, they did not announce the vanilla Narzo 30 back then.
  • Madhav added that Realme initially planned a Narzo 30 4G version and recently finished its final stages of testing and development. The company has later decided to bring the 5G version also.
  • At this point, we do not have a lot of information about the upcoming Narzo devices.

4. OnePlus 9 Series to get LTPO AMOLED panel with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate

OnePlus 9 Series to get LTPO AMOLED panel with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate

  • OnePlus CEO Pete Lau posted a string of short videos showcasing the capability of its new LTPO AMOLED display.
  • The display supports adaptive refresh rate dialing up all the way to 120Hz when subjected to intensive tasks while it can go as low as 1Hz when showing a static display.
  • Although the company didn’t provide any input of touch sampling rate, it is said to be higher allowed input quicker than before. In fact, the video shows a quicker rate when compared to Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

5. Vivo iQOO Z3 appears on Google Play Console with Snapdragon 768G

Vivo iQOO Z3

  • Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO just made a splash with its iQOO Neo5 launched in China on March 16.
  • iQOO Z3 had made its entrance after the company posted a teaser poster announcing the incoming device and that it will have a 5G support.
  • The device has a model number V2073A that has already been linked to a previous report whereby the device got its certification from the 3C authority of China.
