Samsung To Launch Galaxy A Series With SnapDragon 845 And A Four Camera Phone

Samsung is holding a special event on October 11 and it was lately teased as ‘4x Fun’ although the information supporting the launch is unavailable. There are many speculations on what the South Korean giant to launch. A latest cryptic tweet was made by a Chinese tipster called ‘@MMDDJ_’ with the phrase ‘Galaxy A with SDM845?’.

It means that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A series of smartphones could get the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is currently being by all high-end smartphones including Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9/S9+, OnePlus 6 and others. According to the tweet, Galaxy A series smartphone touted to release on October 11 will be powered by Snapdragon 845 and the tipster even pointed towards model number SM-A920F speculated to be launched in few markets in Europe.

As of now, the high-end SoCs such as Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 is powering all the high-end smartphones which are expensive as per price point. However, introducing SDM845 in mid-range smartphones could open up whole new opportunities towards escalating sales figure and it is something brands like OnePlus and Asus have already introduced. Recently, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco launched the first smartphone model ‘Poco F1’ that outsmarted any of the smartphones with SDM845 SoC as Poco F1 has a price tag of Rs 20,999 which is at least 50% cheaper than other smartphones with SDM845.

Apart from the Galaxy A series with Snapdragon 845, Samsung smartphone sporting a quadruple rear camera setup is speculated to be announced on October 11 too but with Snapdragon 710 or SDM660 since the official specs sheet is not available. Apart from the SoC, we could see a 4GB and 64GB internal storage variant in both of these smartphone models with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box, We are a few weeks away from the October 11 launch which gives us plenty of time to contemplate which smartphone could be released at the event thanks to the numerous leaks surrounding Samsung.
