vivo has officially announced the vivo X Fold6 launch date and confirmed the foldable smartphone will be launched in China on June 26. The brand has also begun teasing some of its key features ahead of the launch.

Camera and display
One of the biggest features of the X Fold6 is its camera system. vivo has confirmed that the foldable will feature a 200MP camera sensor. The device will also include a Zeiss APO periscope telephoto camera.
According to vivo, it will be the first foldable smartphone to use this lens technology. The camera setup is paired with vivo’s V3+ imaging chip, which handles image processing and photography-related tasks. Other confirmed camera features include support for the vivo Zeiss G2 teleconverter, which offers a focal length equivalent to around 200mm.
vivo has also shared details about the displays used on the X Fold6. Both the internal folding screen and the outer cover display will use the company’s latest display components. The inner display is said to be made with Samsung’s M14 OLED material. This is the first time vivo has used panel technology in a foldable smartphone.
The display can show a higher brightness using less power, the company said. The changes should enhance screen visibility and make the battery more efficient.
Performance and colors
The X Fold6 will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. vivo says the processor has been developed for large-screen foldable devices and supports a range of AI-powered features. The chip, the company says, promises better AI performance and better power efficiency than the previous generation.
According to vivo, the X Fold6 will be offered in four color variants: Blue, Salt Lake White, Polar Night, and Black Gold.
