Vivo confirmed it earlier this month during 5G AI Chip Media Conference that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer will showcase its Vivo X30 5G series in December, although the report states that it could be on December 18.

Anyways, talking about Vivo X30 5G, Vivo has released a promotional teaser on Weibo which gives a sneak peek into the upcoming device. The clip is 30-seconds long and shows a lens maker crafting his art and keeping in a suitcase. Cut to the transition where a lady opens the suitcase and takes out the alluring Vivo X30 5G clad it a gradient back panel that gives it an uber premium feel.

With that being said, it is clear that the Vivo X30 5G series which comprises a standard Vivo X30 5G and Vivo X30 5G Pro will pack in a quad-camera setup. Triple camera setup will be in a vertical camera bump while the fourth cam (probably ToF) will be flanked along with the LED flash.

Moreover, the device also sports periscope lens that will allow it to reach a maximum of 60x digital zoom which is weirdly more than what other smartphones max at i.e. 50x digital zoom although the picture quality might suffer great compression and that’s common.

Furthermore, the Vivo X30 series is also the first to get Samsung Exynos 980 SoC with an integrated 5G modem that will support dual-mode 5G networks that is standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) modes. According to Playful Droid, the maximum speed that 5G connection on Exynos 980 is estimated at 2.55 Gbps of download speed while the speed could be maximized to 3.55 Gbps when both 4G and 5G download links are combined.

Vivo X30 series isn’t the only 5G smartphone in the making as Honor V30 5G, Honor V30 Pro 5G, Huawei Nova 6 5G, Xiaomi Redmi K30 5G, Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro 5G, and others are up for imminent release as well. Although the exact date is under wraps, the Vivo X30 series is highly likely to release in December this year for which, the official dates will be out soon.
