It’s here. Vivo has kept its word launching the Vivo V21e 5G smartphone in India that it earlier teased. This is a different version than Vivo V21e (4G). Here are the specifications that the 5G smartphone offers on-board.

The Vivo V21e 5G brings on-board a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood which is different from the Snapdragon 720G as seen in the 4G variant. The phone arrives with an 8GB+128GB UFS 2.1 storage option along with a microSD card slot where you are using a shared SIM slot to extend the storage capacity.

There’s a 6.44-inch 60Hz AMOLED display with 1080×2400 pixels resolution which is the same as its 4G version although with a slightly larger STB ratio. Next up, the rear camera setup remains almost the same with a 64MP primary shooter but with an f/1.9 aperture while the 8MP ultrawide snapper gets an autofocus feature as well along with 120-degree FoV among other specifics. There’s no 2MP macro sensor here as well.

About the video recording capability, you can record videos at 4K@30fps while the 1080p videos have been curtailed to 30fps. For context, 4G V21e supported 1080p@60fps too.

Next up, the front selfie shooter has been downgraded from 44MP to 32MP although with the same aperture of f/2.0. The front camera no longer supports 4K@30fps and instead, it is capped at 1080p@30fps. The autofocus has gone too.

The device comes with a hefty 4,000 mAH battery under the hood as its 4G sibling although with a faster 44W fast charging tech which is advertised to juice up the battery from 0 to 72 percent in 30 minutes. For context, 33W on V21e 4G charged the battery from 0 to 66 percent in 30 minutes. There’s a fingerprint scanner embedded under the display that you can use alongside facial recognition and other authentication methods.

Vivo V21e 5G runs on the latest Android 11-powered FuntouchOS 11.1. Lastly, the device is available in two color variants i.e. Dark Pearl and Sunset Jazz in India with the price benign INR 24,990/- for the sole storage variant i.e. 8GB+128GB. The device is already listed on Vivo India’s e-store while you can buy the same from Flipkart and Amazon India as well.
