Xiaomi appears prepared to take over the standard, it is likely that the Mi 5 will compete along with the Galaxy S7 from Samsung. There’s significantly more going on, apart from the rumour and speculations, the fans from both the ends are on-board with all that has come up. The present situation looks as though 2 walls of a comparable level are being constructed together, one in China and another in Korea.

Coming to Xiaomi’s Mi 5, the company is quite prepared to announce their high-end and top of the line device of this year on 21st February, whilst it seems as if online retailers are profoundly enthusiastic, for they’ve put the Mi 5 over their websites before the launch.

The retailer is GearBest, holding up a page dedicated to the new Mi 5 with all relatively ‘hyped’ specs. These specs were quite rumoured earlier, the roster on GearBest comprised of the following features:

  • 5.2 QHD Screen, 565PPI
  • Snapdragon 820 processor
  • 4GB of RAM (no mentions of it being a DDR3/DDR4)
  • 16GB Internal Storage (however, 64GB variant is quite likely)
  • MIUI 7 (based on Android 5.1)

There was no mention of expandable storage.

Heading to the most anticipated segment, the camera. Mi 5 is likely to bring in a 16MP camera sensor along with a dual-LED flash and 8MP secondary camera. Mi 5 is also said to feature a dual-SIM capability and both SIMs 4G LTE capable. However, GearBest did not spill out the pricing of the device, but all that we assemble from GearBest, is what we’ve been reading beforehand.
