After waiting for days, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is finally here and released in China (only). To summarize it, the phone isn’t a high-end premium category smartphone but rather a mid-range smartphone that happens to have one of the best camera setups with the world’s first-ever 108MP primary camera sensor.
Talking about the specs, the device sports a 6.47-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a small water-drop notch and curved edges. The device packs in gaming-oriented Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G with two of its performance cores tuned at 2.2 GHz. This chipset will enhance the gaming experience compared to any of the Snapdragon 700 series chipsets.
The USP of Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is its camera setup without any doubt as it features a Penta-camera setup at the back along with a single front shooter.
The front has a 32MP single shooter as said while the rear has a primary 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor that Samsung and Xiaomi jointly developed and introduced with Mi Mix Alpha, the first device to have a 180° curved display. The primary sensor has a sensor size of 1/1.33” with f/1.7 that should allow impeccable images no matter the lighting conditions. There is an 8P lens option available as well but only with the Premium Edition.
Next up, we have a 12MP telephoto sensor with OIS and 5x optical and 50x digital zoom capability. Next up, we have a 12MP classic Portrait telephoto camera with 2x zoom that can check stunning portrait images using its dedicated camera on not rely on other sensors for the same. There is a 20MP ultra-wide angle sensor as well that has a PoV of 117° and finally, there is a macro camera that can capture excellent macro shots at a close distance of 1.5cm to 10cm.
Furthermore, the device has a massive battery size of 5,260 mAh battery that we came to know about a few days ago. It also includes a massive 30W PD fast-charging tech that can charge the battery from 0% to 58% in just 30 minutes while the rest of the battery takes another 35 minutes to complete and that pretty much should last for two days on moderate usage.
The device is also up for pre-order in China and is available in three trims i.e. 6/128GB at CNY2,799 or $400, 8/256GB available at CNY3,099 or $440 and there’s a Premium Edition as well with 8/256GB available at CNY3,499 or $500. The device will be put up on sale through Xiaomi’s official channels starting midnight on November 11 in Mainland China.
