Motorola to unveil Moto G6 series on April 19 in Brazil

Motorola Moto G6 has been in the news for the past few weeks with some quality renders and leaks found online on certification sites. After a long week of silence about the launch of the device, a new story has hit the deck. Motorola has sent out media invites for the launch event of the Moto G6 series in Brazil which is scheduled for April 19. Reports suggest that the launch will unveil the highly anticipated Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and the Moto G6 Plus. Sources close to the company state that we could also get a glimpse of the Moto Z3 Play at the event.

The media invite sent out by Motorola Brazil does not reveal any details about the said launch. However, the background gradient does match with the wallpaper which was seen in the initial leaks of the alleged Moto G6. All the devices included in the G6 series come with an 18:9 aspect ratio and according to the leaks, the Moto G6 and G6 Plus are expected to sport dual rear cameras.

Moto G6 launch

The Moto G6 is expected to sport a 5.7-inch full HD+ display with 1080 x 2160-pixel resolution. Whereas, the Moto G6 Plus will most likely arrive with a 5.93-inch full HD+ IPS display. The Moto G6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 450 SoC which shall be coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Moto G6 Plus, on the other hand, will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with 3,000mAh battery for the former and 3,200mAh battery for the latter. Both the devices will sport the same dual rear camera specifications with a 16-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor.

On the other hand, the Moto G6 Play is expected to sport a 5.7-inch full HD display and will be powered by an octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front sensor. The Moto G6 Play is expected to launch with a price tag of $199 (Rs. 13,999) and is expected to go live for pre-orders from May 17. The Moto G6 will probably get a price tag of $249.99 (Rs. 16,300).
