Honor 8X Max Leaks Online; Set to Release on September 5 in China

Huawei’s subsidiary Honor is releasing the successor to Honor 8X but that’s something we already know. The larger variant dubbed as Honor 8X Max on JD.com which is one of the largest online retailers in China. The product is up for pre-orders with a price tag of Yen 9998.00 as a dummy price which is quite intriguing. The specifications for the larger 8X were leaked as well and now, we know that it will have a massive 7.12-inch IPS display with 350 PPI pixel density and a screen resolution of 1080 x 2244 pixels. Referring the official renders, it can be deduced that the smartphone has a minimal bezel around the edges and a slight chin on the bottom bezel.

Honor has been able to squeeze 7.12-inch display in a conventional smartphone with a 6.3-inch which is quite exciting. Further, the official renders who that it has a water drop-shaped top notch similar to Oppo R17 and Vivo X23 among others. It goes in line with Huawei’s efforts to squeeze the size of notch similar to how it opted to shrink the size of the notch for its Huawei P series of smartphones as well as Honor Play where all these smartphones were releases about two weeks to a few months ago.

About the Honor 8X Max, it has dimensions of 177.57×86.24×8.13mm and weighs at 210 grams with battery. The smartphone has a metal and plastic frame with metal back cover and front glass cover and will have a dual-SIM support supporting 2G, 3G, and 4G networks. It sports an unspecified capacity of the battery as per the listings but GSMArena suggests that it could be around 4,900 mAh as per the previous reports.

The phone model number are-A100 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with a maximum frequency of 2.0 GHz along with Adreno 512 GPU and a 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 64GB though there could be other storage variants available too. Further, it has a 16MP + 2MP depth sensing sensor along with an unspecified sensor on the front camera. Huawei Honor will officially release the Honor 8X Max on September 5.
