Samsung appears to be preparing for its next flagship smartphone generation. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 has surfaced on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) database, which is basically an indication that a device has bagged the certification and is ready to release in the specific region.
Although an official announcement is still awaited. But the BIS certification is important to note since the device has already surfaced on several other databases, suggesting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 series is gearing up for a global release. Usually, the company holds the Galaxy Unpacked event in January or February. Let’s see how Samsung positions its launch event and the new lineup this year.
Samsung Galaxy S27 becomes first S27-series model to reach BIS database
According to the BIS database, the Samsung Galaxy S27 carries the SM-S952B/DS model number and apparently is the first smartphone from the Galaxy S27 lineup to receive BIS certification. Although the listing didn’t reveal any details about its hardware, it has officially confirmed one thing; a green signal indicating that the Samsung Galaxy S27 is coming soon.

Other than the Galaxy S27, no other models from the lineup have appeared in the Indian certification database as of now.
Samsung Galaxy S27 specifications (rumored)
Many of you might be thrilled to know what Samsung might bring to the table with the Galaxy S27. Well, we understand the curiosity, and therefore we have brought its specs details based on industry insiders and reports. So, we want you to take it as a basic understanding only and not treat it as official information.
The Samsung Galaxy S27 is expected to be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2700 chipset. The reason why I am mentioning it is because an NBD database listing is potentially related to the SM-S952B/DS model with Samsung’s Exynos 2700 chipset (check out its Geekbench performance). The same listing also suggested up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
Moreover, the upcoming device is also said to boast a 6.3-inch display, which is obvious, considering that the standard model brings a compact display. Whereas the Plus model features a bigger display.

Moving on, Samsung is rumored to take a different approach with the camera setup this time. According to reports, the Galaxy S27 could drop the ISOCELL sensor (found in its predecessor) and equip a 50MP Sony sensor. To accompany the primary lens might sit a familiar hardware, that is, a 12MP ultra-wide, 10MP telephoto lens, and a 12MP front camera.
Finally, the Galaxy S27 has surfaced in China’s 3C certification with a 25W wired charging support. Considering the same, it simply means that Samsung is retaining the charging speed previously offered in the Samsung Galaxy S26.
Samsung Galaxy S27 launch timeline
Samsung has not made any official announcement related to the Galaxy S27 series yet. The company usually sends out invitations for the in-person event and simultaneously live-streams the event for viewers watching online.
We speculate that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S27 series in early 2027. Further details related to its official specs, pricing, and availability will be known upon its release.
