Just a day after launching the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in India, it looks like Samsung is preparing to launch two new smartphones soon. The Samsung Galaxy F41 is going to be launched on October 8, and there will be yet another launch following up pretty soon. A new smartphone named Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime has been listed on Amazon India’s official website, which reveals some of its specifications.
The M in the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime stands for Mega, it seems. Samsung is using the word Mega to describe every element of the smartphone, like, MegaPerformance, MegaPics, and MegaVacay to name a few. The Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime will be powered by company’s own Exynos 9611 SoC, and this is not the first time they’ll be launching a mid-range device with this chipset. Samsung Galaxy M31s, M31, M21, A51, A50s, and M30s, all these smartphones use this same SoC.
The M31 Prime will be launching in two variants, both having 6GB RAM, and 64GB or 128GB internal storage. There’s a quad-camera setup on the back of the smartphone, incorporating a 64MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture, an 8MP 123-degree wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 5 MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The notched display of the smartphone houses a 32MP selfie shooter, which supports 4K video recording. The smartphone is capable of recording slo-mo videos from both rear and front cameras. You’ll get a 15W fast charging support with the smartphone, which sounds rather slow provided that the phone comes with a big 6000 mAh battery.
There’s no official wording regarding the release date of the smartphone, but it might get launched during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sale, which starts on October 17. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
