Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 12 series in its home country. The series comprises three models i.e. Redmi Note 12 Pro, Note 12 Pro+, and Note 12 Exploration Edition where the latter takes leaps and bounds with 210W fast charging support. Here’s more about the trio.

Redmi Note 12 Pro arrives in four configurations. Starting with the base at 6GB+128GB, it is priced at CNY 1,699; 8GB+128GB gets a pricing of CNY 1,799; 8GB+256GB is priced at CNY 1,999; and finally, the 12GB+256GB is priced at CNY 2,199.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is available in two storage configurations. The base 8GB+256GB is priced at CNY 2,099 and the higher 12GB+256GB is priced at CNY 2,299/-.Finally, the Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition has been launched in China with a single storage configuration of 8GB+256GB at CNY 2,399/-.

The top-of-the-line model in the Redmi Note 12 series, the Redmi Note 12 Exploration Edition brings a 210W fast charging tech onboard which is astonishingly fast. We are talking about 9 minutes to juice up a 5,000mAh battery.
The phone gets a 200MP primary camera at the back as well flanked with an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro snapper. There’s OIS, night mode, film camera mode, and more happening on the rear module. The front, on the other hand, is a 16MP snapper housed in a tiny punch-hole cut-out on the display.
Moving on, there’s a 6.67” AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and an amazing 1,920Hz PWM dimming onboard. It uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC to support such colossal processing. There’s Android 13-powered MIUI 13 out-of-the-box, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth v5.2, WiFi 6, and 5G support as well.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ isn’t much different from the exploration edition except for the ultra-fast charging tech. It has the same 6.67” 120Hz HRR plus 1920Hz PWM dimming onboard with Dimensity 1080 SoC handling the chores with ease. There’s up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone uses a 200MP primary cam with OIS at the back which is joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro snapper housed in a rectangular-shaped bump. There’s 16MP housed at the front in a punch-hole-shaped notch.
Although Pro+ uses the same 5,000mAh battery, it has 120W fast charging and not 210W. However, you should know that 120W is still faster than the majority of smartphones out there. There’s NFC, Android 13-powered MIUI 13, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a few things here and there.

Xiaomi has changed the design element for its Redmi Note 12 series a lot which means, Redmi Note 12 Pro looks absolutely the same as Note 12 Pro+ and Exploration Edition although the specifications are changed.
The phone uses a 50MP primary cam at the back with OIS along with 8MP ultrawide and a 2MP macro snapper. The front cam on Redmi Note 12 Pro remains unchanged at 16MP housed in a punch-hole cut-out. There’s a 5000mAh battery under the hood paired alongside 67W charging tech which is still quite a lot given the tech used in phones today.
It still uses the same Dimensity 1080 SoC under the hood and offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage. Apart from that, there’s a 6.67” OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Android 12-based MIUI 13 under the hood among others.
