OPPO has announced the ColorOS 17 global rollout timeline and publicly shared when eligible smartphones and tablets are scheduled to receive the major Android 17-based update. Basically, the update rolls out this month to the first quarter of 2027 for supported devices; however, its availability will depend upon model, region, and carrier.
Last week, OnePlus announced its transition from OxygenOS to ColorOS 17 for these five devices. So, if you own a OnePlus phone, check out the eligible devices and rollout schedule. ColorOS 17 rollout timeline in India
For Indian users, OPPO’s official India website lists the same ColorOS 17 rollout timeline as its global release. However, the schedule doesn’t guarantee that eligible phones in India will receive the update on the same day. Therefore, you’re strongly requested to await the update to reach your device. The update may reach your device a bit late, since the update is rolling out in phases.
To check availability, open Settings > About device > Software update. That’s it; if there’s a new version available, it will show you the update on screen. Simply download and install it to experience a new version of ColorOS.
You are recommended to take a backup of their files in case you’re worried about losing them. Make sure your device has sufficient battery and storage.
