The company’s first smartphone was the transparent, light-emitting Nothing Phone (1), which sold more than 650,000 units globally. Now, everyone is eagerly anticipating the Nothing Phone (2) and wondering what it has in store.

Nothing is teasing its upcoming smartphone at a time when everyone is preparing for the release of the Google Pixel 7a next week. According to an official tweet, the Nothing Phone (2) will debut in the summer of 2023, and the company has provided a sneak peek at the new transparent rear panel.

Nothing Phone (2) Specifications

The Nothing Phone (2) will feature a high-end Snapdragon 8-series CPU, as unveiled at MWC 2023. However, the exact name of the processor has been kept secret. A Qualcomm official unintentionally revealed the secret on LinkedIn, confirming that Phone (2) will be using the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

The Nothing Phone (2) will also have an adaptive AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and bezels of the same size as its predecessor. The software will receive significant enhancements, as the company has established an internal software team to provide an improved stock Android experience.

According to a MySmartPrice article, the Nothing Phone (2) will include virtual RAM, at least 12GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a battery that is 5,000mAh larger than the Phone 1’s 4,500mAh battery.

The manufacturer has released a first glance at the rear of the Nothing Phone (2), which features a transparent panel similar to the Nothing Phone (1). The glyph light strip, red recording indication, and white textured plastic covering the internals are all visible. The indicator on Phone 2 has been redesigned and is no longer circular.
