  • It will be heavily inspired by Xiaomi's first SU7 EV and Ferrari's Purosangue and it will rival against Tesla Model Y.

After shipping the 20,000th SU7 EV in just two and half months after its launch, the Xiaomi EV segment is ready for yet another offering. Code-named as Xiaomi MX11, this is a Tesla Model Y-rivalling EV in the making, and we now have the first look at it irrespective of how heavily it is camouflaged.

Xiaomi MX11 — the second EV from the Chinese maker makes a splash on the internet

Xchuxing and other local automotive media outlets in China shared some spy shots showing the upcoming Xiaomi MX11 EV being tested. This will be the second EV model from Xiaomi after the SU7 sedan that received quite an acclaim being a flagship killer of cars offering the best of features with an affordable price tag attached to it.

Xiaomi MX11 EV is an all-electric coupe SUV that will be launched against Tesla’s Model Y. It looks akin to Ferrari Purosangue although the design language is identical to that of Xiaomi’s maiden model — the SU7 sedan.

As you can check out in the spy shots, this Xiaomi EV bears number ‘019’. It sports a LiDAR system on the roof hinting at possible advanced driving capabilities such as Navigate on Pilot (NOA) although let’s take it with a pinch of salt.

Neither Xiaomi nor other sources have divulged any specs details yet although it is believed to use the same powertrain as SU7. It means MX11 will offer outputs ranging from 295hp to 673hp based on the variants.

According to various rumors, Xiaomi plans on entering mass production on this Xiaomi EV model in 2025 followed by launch the same year as well. Of course, MX11 is currently a codename so you can expect the ‘flagship killer’ coupe SUV to get a new name once it nears launch next year.

Xiaomi launched its much-anticipated SU7 EV on March 28 across three variants — Standard at 429,740; Pro at $33,900 and Max at $41,300. Xiaomi has intelligently launched the first EV at a price tag that makes it lucrative for the masses as they can get their hands on the car without crushing their banks.

Xiaomi SU7 is loosely inspired by Porsche and McLaren lineup which makes it much good-looking for the masses to cling to. Turns out the heavily camouflaged MX11 offers similar traits to SU7 that should make it like a hot-selling cake as well once it arrives in late 2025.
