It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no, it’s an EV Lambo. Well, that’s what the car enthusiasts must have said at the Monterey Car Week that debuted on Friday after getting the first-ever glance at Lamborghini’s first-ever EV venture dubbed the Lamborghini Lanzador. For the unversed, the luxurious carmaker denied any plans of venturing into the EV although the Lamborghini Lanzador ‘CHANGES EVERYTHING’ and yes, we are roaring when saying that.
Lanzador is a two-door crossover supercar, a love child of the edge Huracan Sterrato and the adrenaline-pumped muscular SUV Urus but without any scissor-like doors. By the looks of it, there’s no doubt Lanzador will leave its competition gasping for air with its splendid design, and aggressive headlights that remind us of the Lamborghini Estoque concept of 2008.

We have boxy wheel arches, increased ground clearance, glossy black elements that you will find on the lower bodywork, a 2+2 interior that appears pretty spacious, and a few more things here and there.
The interior is nothing short of any sci-fi movie with its central console and displays coming straight from a spaceship. The console gives you access to USB ports, two cup holders, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a rocket launcher-alike start button, and so on.
We have ample cargo space at the front called the ‘frunk’ equipped with a custom luggage set. We have seats that are stylish as they are and can be folded for that extra room to keep ‘anything’ you wish because it will be your EV once you buy it. However, there’s no way you can slide the roof-mounted headrests because as said, they are roof-mounted and cannot be moved.

If you are thinking about Lanzador as just another concept, believe us as the EV is set to hit the market in 2028 as it is expected to enter the zero-emission realm. Although it is quite a move, it’s a Lambo and I don’t think so you would have any problem waiting to look for the first-ever EV. Soon after Lanzador, Urus will make its EV switch too.
Turns out Lamborghini is hurtling towards, making its family-focused fleet accessible with the EV. But hey, the ICE engines aren’t going away soon although they will upgrade to a hybrid powertrain.
