Every month, we gather a list of smartphone launches that are happening across the globe. This month, we have a bigwig prepping for release, i.e., the much-anticipated Google Pixel 11 series that has four models powered by the Google Tensor G6 SoC. Of course, the aim is not to push a certain series but rather give our readers an aerial view of all the launches that are happening in India and elsewhere. As usual, we have Xiaomi, Vivo, and Samsung as major players setting up the stage for their respective launches.

Samsung Galaxy F70 Pro 5G (India)

Launched: Launched (August 3)

Samsung’s Galaxy F70 Pro 5G officially arrived on August 3rd. Specs-wise, the phone comes paired with a mid-range Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The device runs on Android 16-based One UI 8.5 out-of-the-box with 6 years of major Android upgrades. The F70 Pro 5G sports a giant 6.7″ FHD+ Super AMOLED 120Hz display to showcase everything with crisp quality. 

The battery onboard is a generous 6,000mAh pack flanked by 45W fast charging tech. On the optics front, we have a 50MP primary snapper with OIS, flanked by a 5MP ultra-wide and a macro camera. 

The phone fetches a price tag commencing at INR 23,999/- for the base 6GB+128GB variant, while the top variant with an 8GB+256GB configuration is likely to fetch a INR 27,999/- price tag.

Poco M8 Power 5G (India)

Launched: Launched (August 4)

Poco’s latest offering has launched on Flipkart on August 4. Dubbed the Poco M8 Power 5G, the phone is powered by a massive 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC, a 6.99″ ultra-large OLED 120Hz panel, an 8MP front selfie camera, plus a 50MP primary AI cam at the back. There’s also a large dissipation area of 10.44 sq mm, ensuring the phone remains cooler when subjected to heavy use. On the software front, we have Android 16-backed HyperOS with four major Android upgrades and six years of security upgrades.

There’s up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage, and a 50MP primary rear camera on-board. The phone is added to the existing Poco M8 series, dwarfing the battery capacities on the standard M8 and M8 Pro.

Huawei Nova 16 SE

Launch Date: August 5

The Huawei Nova 16 SE has entered pre-orders in China, with the launch happening on August 5 in the home country. The poster reveals the design that the Nova 16 SE brings to the table. It has an iPhone 17 Pro-like camera with a triple-camera setup, a punch-hole cutout at the front, and a design that looks similar to the Honor Power 2. The phone is likely a rebadged Huawei Enjoy 90X Premium Edition, although the final call is due to conclude once the phone ships early next week.

Reports suggest Huawei Nova 16 SE specs include a HiSilicon Kirin 8020 SoC and a 1.5K 6.84” flat LTPS OLED panel with 8,000 nits of peak brightness. The device uses an 8,500mAh battery flanked by 66W wired charging tech. You’ll get a 50MP primary snapper with Huawei’s RYYB setup for better camera performance. 

Huawei MateBook Fold Ultimate Design

Launch Date: August 5

The next-gen Huawei MateBook Fold Ultimate Design is on its way to launch on August 5 with an innovative AI-backed stylus on board. The stylus will help the Fold write, draw, and do more accurately and with better control.

Specs-wise, we have a humongous 18” flexible OLED panel onboard, giving a 25% increase in performance over the previous generation. There’s 3.3K resolution on-board with 1,600 nits peak brightness, plus a UTG non-Newtonian fluid laminate setup made to withstand bends and impact resistance. The chipset on-board is dubbed Kirin XE90, made for high efficiency and flagship-cadre performance and also to be introduced on-board MateBook Pro S.

Huawei MatePad Pro (2026)

Launch Date: August 5

The first week of August will see at least three launches from Huawei, and MatePad Pro (2026) is one of them. The flagship tablet borrows the design from MatePad PRO MAX with a circular camera module at the back. The tablet weighs a mere 439g, making it lighter than two medium-sized Apples, as the Chinese smartphone maker jokingly claims.

The tab brings a 4.77mm thickness with a narrow bezel design and a 92% screen-to-body ratio, set to arrive on August 5 alongside the MateBook Fold Ultimate Design and Nova 16 SE. The flagship tab uses a top-tier Kirin SoC, a humongous battery to power it up, a lightweight profile, and major upgrades under the hood, making it a must-check-out flagship out there.

Xiaomi Redmi 17 5G (India)

Launch date: August 6

Looks like the Redmi Note 17 5G is finally coming to India, as it is launching on August 6, weeks after its launch in China. Dubbed the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 5G, the Indian variant brings identical specs to its Chinese equivalent, including the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 SoC, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, Android 16-backed HyperOS 3, and a majestic 7″ FHD+ OLED P3 120Hz panel boasting peak brightness of up to 1,800 nits.

The phone is likely to be priced at INR 30,000/- for the base 6+128GB variant, while the higher 8+128GB variant goes for INR 33,000/-, although the final pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Vivo S2 (India)

Launch date: August 6

Vivo has its offering up for grabs this month as well. We are talking about the Vivo S2, the phone with the tagline “My New Story,” which is debuting on August 6 at 12 pm IST with a curved display and a punch-hole selfie shooter plus a pill-shaped island at the rear for its dual camera setup.

The Vivo S2 sports a 6.83” 120Hz 1.5K AMOLED panel, a Dimensity 7360 Turbo SoC, 128GB of storage, 8GB RAM, and OriginOS 6.0 out-of-the-box. The phone has a 50MP Sony IMX582 primary snapper at the back flanked by a 2MP shooter, plus a 32MP selfie cam. Finally, we have a 7,050mAh battery on board paired with 44W fast charging tech.

Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro & Pro Max

Launch Date: August 11

Xiaomi is gearing up for yet another launch this month. Dubbed the Redmi K100 Pro, the phone is expected to bring a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V chipset—a gaming-oriented chipset launched recently. The phone reportedly scored 4.09 million points on AnTuTu, aided by a 3D circulating cold-pump cooling system.

The Redmi K100 Pro has a 6.59” AMOLED 185Hz panel, available in Firelight, Light Chaser, and White colorways. Finally, we are told that the Pro will arrive in China on August 11, probably at a price tag of CNY 4,000. 

Another phone in the works is the Redmi K100 Pro Max, also arriving on August 11. We get a flat 6.9” ultra-narrow bezel display with a curved metal frame, a triple rear camera setup including a periscope telephoto cam, a Bose-powered rear woofer, and a price tag of CNY 4,000. The Redmi K100 standard variant will arrive at a later date.

Google Pixel 11 Series (Global)

Launch date: August 12

One of the most awaited launches of this year is certainly the Google Pixel 11 Series. Set to launch on August 12, the series comprises four models, i.e., Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and we can’t be more excited. 

The Pixel 11 series brings a powerful integration with Gemini Intelligence that will propel Pixel devices further into AI. The pill-shaped camera bump looks crisp; there’s an array of colors to choose from, such as Moss, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, Light Sterling, and a few more based on your preferences. The trio features the Tensor G6 SoC, up to 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and up to 3600 nits of peak brightness, to name a few.

Honor Robot Phone (China)

Launch date: August 12

Honor is all set to launch its much-anticipated Robot Phone with a protruding robotic arm with a built-in gimbal. The phone brings a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC under the hood, speculated to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery.

Being a powerful camera phone, the device uses a 200MP primary cam with a gimbal, a 200MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide tertiary camera. Honor says it has acquired 100 patents around the same to ensure the arm protrudes when needed and sits flush with the back panel when not in use.

iQOO Z11 (India)

Launch Date: August 20

After marking its launch in China and Malaysia, iQOO Z11 is coming to India on August 20, 2026, with a different chipset on-board. Reports suggest we will get a Dimensity 7500 Turbo SoC on the Indian variant, making it the first smartphone in Asia to bring that chip on-board. Note that the Malaysian unit has a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, while the Chinese variant is powered by a Dimensity 8500 SoC. 

We don’t have much clarity on what the iQOO Z11 India will bring to the table. There’s a 3D curved display in the works. Typically, the iQOO Z11 variants bring a 6.83” AMOLED panel, OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16, and a 50MP primary with OIS (and auxiliary lenses), coupled with a 9,020mAh battery under the hood plus 90W wired charging tech.
