Xiaomi Redmi K100 specs rumored ahead of launch

Tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) showed up on Weibo—a Chinese social media network—to discuss the key specs Redmi K100 brings to the table. This includes a 6.59” flat 1.5K display with a high refresh rate—we are assuming it’s either 120Hz or 144Hz.

What’s interesting is that the tip is that the K100 will carry a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC under the hood. Although this is a flagship chipset released late last year, the K100 will come in time for when the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 arrives. It means you are actually going to see last year’s chipset on board the K100, although it remains to be seen why.

Redmi K100 Pro Max in the pipeline as well

Moving further, the Xiaomi Redmi K100 is speculated to bring a large ~8,000mAh battery plus 100W fast charging tech. There’s a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner at the front. At the back, you’ll be greeted by a 200MP primary shooter plus a telephoto lens, although the details on the specifics remain elusive at the time of writing this.

There’s a Redmi K100 Pro Max in the pipeline as well

To bring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 to the catalogue anyway, Xiaomi has a Redmi K100 Pro Max in the pipeline. It does bring the upcoming 2nm Snapdragon chipset, plus it comes paired with a 200MP primary snapper, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto shooter. Ultimately, it will be rebranded as Poco F9 Ultra for a global rollout.
