It looks like there’s a lot of cooking ‘tech’ at Samsung. Courtesy of the latest earning call, Samsung held a session with investors to answer some key questions regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Series, the Exynos 2500 APs, the camera upgrades, and beyond.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Series Likely to Use Mix of Exynos and Snapdragon SoCs
A statement made by Daniel Araujo, Vice President of Samsung MX, mentions that the Galaxy S25 will see some top-of-the-line upgrades. It includes industry-best APs and memory storage that will ultimately boost its AI performance. Samsung is already at the forefront in terms of camera and display specs and working towards being a pro in other applications.
Samsung is probably working on the Exynos 2500 SoC — its in-house chipset to compete against the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. It remains to be seen which model gets what chipset and where, Exynos 2500 SoC is likely to appear in the mix in the Galaxy S25 series especially if Samsung finds a way to improve its yields.
Samsung is reportedly working its way to dilute Snapdragon’s share on the flagship S25 series and thus, the series will see a mix of both Exynos 2500 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. In fact, we even heard that there’s a MediaTek chipset in the mix too, although we would take it with a pinch of salt at the moment.
On the camera tech, the Galaxy S25 series will surely see a major upgrade. Again, it remains to be seen whether the changes will propagate throughout the series or only be on the S25 Ultra. GSMArena points out a 50MP 3x camera on the S25 Ultra that is long and 50MP ultrawide. In contrast, the pair will replace S24 Ultra’s 10Mp and 12MP shooters, respectively.
An earlier report hinted at a 50MP 5x periscope lens and for sure, we are hoping it would make it only on the Ultra and not on the other two models. Furthermore, the display sizes may differ too. Galaxy S25 vanilla is expected to take on a 6.36” display moving up the ladder from 6.1” on the S23 and 6.2” on the S24.

Araujo further added that they are expanding their Galaxy AI ecosystems and thus, we would see the tech appear on smartwatches, the Galaxy Tabs, the Ring, the Buds, Galaxy Books, and across Samsung’s portfolio of apps as well. Samsung added that their Hybrid AI will work on-device for stable and faster usability as well as cloud AI for high-quality results based on the situation and use cases. The South Korean giant will pair its security arm Knox to keep the customer’s data secured during Cloud AI use cases.
