Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL are official! Everything You Need To Know!
Unlike every year, Google debuts manufacturing of its own smartphones: the Pixel and the Pixel XL. Even if you missed the event, there wasn’t much to surprise you, the rumours had already spoiled it all, except the pricing details. Before jumping into that, let’s take a glance at both: Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.
As rumoured, there were two smartphones announced at the event. Taking a look at the Google Pixel, it carries a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen secured by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4. The smartphone’s said to perform exceptionally well, along with the powerhouse SnapDragon 821 SoC, 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 530 GPU. It also comes aboard with 2,770mAh battery. The storage options include a 32GB and a 128GB Variant. The elder brother Pixel XL, however, has quite similar specs compared to the Pixel, except it comes with a 5.5-inch QHD Display and a better Battery capacity (3,450mAh). The rest of the specs, including the camera, remain the same. Not to mention, both of them also sport a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Talking about the camera, both the phones sport the same sensor. This camera sensor was advertised to be the best performing one with a score of 89. The phones come with a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture along with cutting edge OIS and an 8-megapixel shooter for your selfies.
Moving on to the pricing and availability, the Pixel and Pixel XL will be available in various colour variants (Quite Black, Really Blue, Very Silver) that are seemingly named to mock Apple. The Pixel starts at $649 with 32GB onboard storage and extends to $749 for the 128GB variant. However, the Pixel XL is priced at $769 for the 32GB variant and $869 for the 128GB variant. The phones will head to India on October 13th, 2016; details will be updated on the exclusive seller Flipkart. It’ll also be available through Reliance Digital and Croma. The phone’s already up for preorders in U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada, and Germany.
