The actual promotional video indeed gave away some promising details for the device, like the octagonal lens arrangement for the camera system, periscope telephoto camera, and slim metallic casing amongst others.
Just that the tri-fold display design has not been displayed, but there are rumors that Mate XT will make use of BOE’s innovative three-fold screen. That would already transform your device into a large-format tablet once unfolded.
Premium build and design elements
On the back of the Mate XT, it’s HUAWEI and the ULTIMATE DESIGN logo wear their sumptuous leather back cover. The design language has been taken from the company’s much-acclaimed Mate X5 Foldable and hence promises the same quality of premium build.

At the recent BOE IPC 2024 conference, BOE Chairman Chen Yanshun confirmed the partnership with HUAWEI, emphasizing how deep collaboration between the two companies made the Mate XT’s tri-fold screen possible.
