HONOR is set to launch its new mid-range smartphone, the HONOR X70, in China later this month (July 2025). It is expected to offer big improvements, including an OLED display instead of LCD, much faster 80W charging, and possibly a huge 8300mAh battery.

HONOR X70 specs

Display and performance

The HONOR X70 will feature a 6.79-inch flat screen with a sharp 1.5K resolution (2640×1200 pixels). Given its slim design, this display is likely an OLED panel. For a super smooth visual experience during daily use and gaming, the screen will also support a 120Hz refresh rate, according to reports.

The HONOR X70 runs on the 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chip, which is a big upgrade over the Dimensity 7025 Ultra used in the HONOR X60. It has an octa-core CPU with speeds up to 2.3GHz and an Adreno 810 GPU.

Battery with slim design

One of the most notable features of the HONOR X70 is its, 8300mAh silicon-carbon battery, which would be the largest of its kind in a smartphone. This marks an upgrade even over the recent HONOR Power’s 8000mAh unit. Despite the massive battery, the standard variant is expected to weigh just 193 grams and measure only 7.7mm in thickness.

The phone supports 80W wired fast charging, while the top-end 512GB variant may also include wireless charging.

Memory, storage, and camera

The device is rumored to be available in three RAM variants 8GB and 12GB paired with 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage. It will ship with MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15.

In terms of optics, the HONOR X70 could feature a 50MP rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and LED flash, alongside an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

Connectivity and build

Connectivity options include 5G SA/NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, USB Type-C, and support for major satellite navigation systems like GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou. The device also supports USB Type-C audio.

The HONOR X70 is said to come in four color options white, blue, black, and red. Additionally, reports suggest that HONOR may skip a “Pro” variant this time, replacing it with a new HONOR X70 Max model.

More details are expected to be revealed as HONOR officially announces the X70 series in the coming weeks.
