Xiaomi just introduced a 3-axis smartphone stabilizer under its Chinese subbrand, Mijia. It is equipped with multi-mode shooting and 3-axis stabilization technology coming in at 450 grams and dimension of 266x53x43mm.
The company claims that the stabilizers feature high-precision screw and acceleration sensor which helps it detect the smartphone’s space position in real-time. The shooting modes include horizontal movement, omnidirectional movement, locking direction, and vertical mode. It can rotate from 9-degrees to 30-degrees, which implies, you’ll get up to an aggregate of 270-degree rotation. All these methods and flexibility allow you to shoot stable and smooth videos.
The device is made of ABS and fiberglass materials and folds into a single piece (up to 208mm in height) for easy storage. It sports a 1050mAh battery which Xiaomi claims will be adequate for up to 4 hours of shooting time. It doesn’t seem as featureful as the DJI Osmo or other similar gimbals, but for the price you’re paying for it, it is entirely reasonable.
Price: The Xiaomi 3-Axis Smartphone Stabilizer is priced at 799 Yuan (approx $165 / Rs. 7,500) and is available for backing on Xiaomi’s own crowdsourcing platform Mi Home.
