- Samsung is working hard on the upcoming Exynos 2600 SoC as it will bring future line of flagship Galaxy phones.
- Exynos 2600 can outrun Apple's latest A19 Pro bionic chipset that powers the iPhone 17 Pro duo.
- Exynos 2600 SoC might make it across the Galaxy S26 series but may not be available everywhere.
Looks like Samsung Exynos 2600 SoC will bring some serious performance gains. In fact, preliminary benchmarks suggest the chipset can outbeat Apple’s A19 Pro Bionic chipset found on the iPhone 17 Pro series. Certain reports have popped up online showcasing the magnitude of uptick in performance as well as how the chipset will be used by all the models under Galaxy S26 series.
Exynos 2600 vs. Apple A19 Pro chipset: a fierce battle for supremacy
According to tipster Jukan via X, the performance gains of the Exynos 2600 are serious. The Korean media is quoting an uptick of 6x stronger NPU performance when compared to the A19 Pro SoC that we saw recently with iPhone 17 Pro series. That’s not all. The chipset is likely to bring 75% higher GPU performance and 14% higher multi-core CPU performance when compared with Apple’s flagship.
If that’s not all, we have some indication when comparing Exynos 2600 SoC against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The upcoming chipset is likely to bring 30% higher NPU and 29% higher GPU performance and that’s a huge leap to be honest.
Again, these are rumors and may not turn out to be 100% true. However, As Exynos 2600 SoC is launching soon, these preliminary benchmarks paint a beast-like performance uptick that the chipset will bring to the table.
All Galaxy S26 models will get Exynos 2600 SoC but not everywhere
Apparently, the South Korean giant is likely to use the Exynos 2600 SoC across the entire Galaxy S26 series coming in January next year. It means the trio — Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, will bring Exynos 2600 SoC, assuming that Galaxy S26 Edge is reportedly cancelled.
Of course, the reports suggest all Galaxy S26 models will feature the rumored SoC but not across all regions. Recent reports mentioned Samsung is considering using the new chip with Galaxy S26 Pro globally. There’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 that will pop up on Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in some regions. The US market will likely get a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside Japan, and China while Europe, Korea, and elsewhere will get the Samsung chip on-board.
