Looks like we will soon have another smartphone with a massive 10,000+ mAh battery. Dubbed as Honor Power 2, the phone actually made its appearance on Honor’s Weibo handle, close to the iPhone 17 Pro Max in terms of design. Yes, the phone has a suffix “Power” for a reason.
Get ready for the biggest battery on-board a phone aka the Honor Power 2
Honor Power 2 is launching soon with a triple rear camera and iPhone-esque orange color variant. To put things into ‘powery’ perspective, it packs in a whopping 10,080mAh battery, giving it an edge over Honor Win, Honor Win RT, and the yet-to-be-launched Realme 10,001mAh battery phone.
The Weibo post mentions a launch happening on January 5 in China. The phone bears a strong resemblance to the iPhone 17 Pro Max, whether it’s the triple rear camera setup or an iPhone-inspired color variant dubbed “Rising Sun Orange.” You can still choose any of the other two color options, i.e., Snow White and Magic Night Black.
Having a massive 10,080mAh battery puts Power 2 at the top in terms of phones with battery powerhouses. It also means a ginormous jump over the original Honor Power’s 8,000mAh battery pack. Moving ahead, we have a circular LED on-board Power 2, which also resembles that of the iPhone’s flagship. Another cosmetic feature it brings to the table is the ‘Power’ tag highlighted in a glowy golden shade.
According to GSMArena, the phone brings two storage options, i.e., 12 GB+256 GB and 12GB+512GB. A MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Elite will power it. There’s a 50MP primary snapper at the back and a 6.79” LTPS AMOLED panel at the front. An 80W charging tech supplies the required juice, although it remains to be seen just how much time it needs to fill a 10,080mAh mammoth.
Honor Power 2 launches on January 5th at 7:30 pm local time, as the poster reveals, in China, while its global launch remains shrouded in mystery.
