Nothing has officially confirmed the Nothing Phone (4b) launch date for India and global markets. The launch will take place on July 7. The Phone (4b) will be the first smartphone in Nothing’s new “b” series.

The phone seems to be focused on the budget segment and is designed to provide the core Nothing experience to a wider customer base. It will be the most affordable entry point into the Nothing ecosystem.

Nothing introduces the new “b” series

The Phone (4b) will debut as the company’s first device in the “b” series. This lineup is focused on a wider audience, especially younger users and people looking for a budget smartphone with the Nothing OS experience.

For now, the company has not revealed any specifications. It is expected that the company will offer some of Nothing’s key features and design elements in the new device.

Engineering sketches reveal design details

Nothing has teased the design through a released sketch poster. It offers an early look at the Phone (4b)’s design and development process. The released sketch shows a central element with circular grooves and detailed measurements. The sketch mentions dimensions as precise as 2.5 mm and 3 mm.

Dual rear camera setup

Previously, the device seemed to have a single camera. However, it now seems quite clear that the latest sketch shows a dual-camera system on the back of the phone. The camera module also features a smaller circular cutout design. It is not yet confirmed what the circular cutout will be used for, but it could be a camera flash or another sensor.

Buttons and port placement

Additionally, the sketch shows the placement of side-mounted buttons, which are likely the power and volume buttons. It is unlikely that this model will feature the Essential Key due to the price point and cost-cutting measures. This design appears quite familiar to previous Nothing smartphones.

Focus on design development

The engineering sketches feature notes such as FINAL, MAIN – UN, DIMENSIONS, and SPLIT?. These show that Nothing is working carefully on the phone’s design ahead of launch. The device might also feature Nothing’s iconic transparent design.

Nothing Phone (4b) launch date

While Nothing has announced the launch of the Phone (4b) on July 7, the full specifications, pricing, and availability details are still to come.

As usual, the phone is expected to be sold via Flipkart, like other Nothing phones launched so far, although the company has not officially confirmed this yet. More details may be hinted at in the coming days.
