vivo has officially confirmed the vivo V70 and vivo V70 Elite India launch date, with both smartphones scheduled for release on February 19. The devices combine premium design, upgraded performance hardware, high-capacity batteries, and ZEISS-backed camera technology, positioning the lineup competitively in the segment.
Display and design
Both the vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite are built around a 6.59-inch display that vivo says features some of the narrowest bezels in the category at approximately 1.25 mm. The panel carries a 1.5K resolution with a pixel density of 459 ppi and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz for smoother scrolling and gaming.
vivo also claims peak brightness levels of 5,000 nits along with support for 1.07 billion colors to enhance outdoor visibility and multimedia playback. The phones feature an aerospace-grade aluminum alloy frame and carry IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Performance and hardware
The vivo V70 Elite is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, while the standard vivo V70 runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform. Benchmark data shared by the company shows solid performance for the Elite variant, including a Geekbench score of 1,973 in single-core tests and 4,863 in multi-core results. vivo also lists an AnTuTu benchmark score of 1,889,405 overall.
Both phones use LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, hardware linked to faster speeds and smoother multitasking overall. To support performance, vivo also added an X-axis linear motor built to provide stronger 4D vibration feedback, especially during gaming.
Battery and charging
Battery capacity is the same across the lineup, with each device using a 6,500 mAh BlueVolt battery. vivo pairs this with 90W wired FlashCharge support for quick charging. The company also added a bypass charging system that sends power straight to the chipset during heavy tasks like gaming or streaming, which it says helps lower heat and keep performance stable.
Camera system and imaging
Photography remains a key part of the V-series identity. The vivo V70 lineup includes a ZEISS co-engineered camera system built around a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 main sensor with optical image stabilization. The setup also adds a 50-megapixel telephoto camera and an ultrawide lens, while the front features a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
vivo highlights the ZEISS Night Telephoto capabilities and claims users can capture detailed images even at 10x zoom thanks to improvements in low-light clarity and portrait imaging.
Software and security support
On the software front, both devices will run OriginOS 6. vivo promises up to four years of operating system upgrades and six years of security updates as part of its long-term support commitment in the premium segment.
Colors options
The vivo V70 will be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow finishes, and the vivo V70 Elite will come in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black color options.
