Xiaomi has started teasing the Xiaomi 17 Max launch ahead of its official debut in May. The company is returning the Max branding in the Xiaomi 17 series after several years. The upcoming flagship smartphone has already been confirmed with a large display, a 200MP camera, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon chipset, and a massive 8000mAh battery.

Design
Teaser images shared by Xiaomi show that the Xiaomi 17 Max follows a design language similar to the standard Xiaomi 17 models. The phone will be available in black, white, and sky blue color options.
Display
Xiaomi confirmed that the device features a 6.9-inch Super Pixel display. The company said the panel delivers visual quality comparable to a 2K screen. At some point, reports suggest the phone uses a 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Performance
The Xiaomi 17 Max will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Xiaomi has confirmed the chipset for the device, and the same processor is also expected in other Xiaomi 17 series smartphones.
Camera
Camera performance is one of the main highlights of the Xiaomi 17 Max. Xiaomi confirmed that the smartphone is equipped with a 200MP primary camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/1.65 aperture.
