Apple has officially announced details for its Worldwide Developers Conference 2026, also known as WWDC 2026. The annual developer event will run from June 8 to June 12 and will feature software announcements, developer tools, online sessions, and in-person activities at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
Apple keynote set for June 8
Apple will begin WWDC 2026 with its main keynote on June 8 at 10 AM PDT. The event is expected to showcase major updates coming to Apple’s software platforms, including new AI features, developer tools, and operating system improvements.
According to Apple, the keynote will stream live on Apple.com, the Apple TV app, and the company’s official YouTube channel. Afterwards, a replay will also be available after the event concludes.
The keynote traditionally serves as Apple’s biggest software-focused presentation of the year and often introduces updates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and other platforms.
Platforms State of the Union to focus on developer technologies
Later on June 8 at 1 PM PDT, Apple will host its Platforms State of the Union session. The company said this event will provide developers with a deeper look at new APIs, technologies, and platform features.
The session will stream through the Apple Developer app, Apple Developer website, YouTube, and bilibili. Moreover, on-demand streaming will also be available.
Apple said the event will help developers build new experiences across Apple devices using the latest software capabilities.
WWDC 2026 includes more than 100 developer sessions
Throughout the week, WWDC 2026 will feature more than 100 video sessions covering tools, design, technologies, and app development practices.
Apple engineers and designers will lead the sessions to give developers direct access to technical insights and platform guidance. The content will be available through the Apple Developer app, website, YouTube, and bilibili.
The company also plans to release curated guides that organize announcements by platform and topic to help developers navigate the conference more easily.
Group Labs and Developer Forums return
Developers attending WWDC 2026 online can participate in Group Labs hosted by Apple experts. These live online presentations and Q&A sessions will run from Tuesday through Friday and focus on topics including Apple Intelligence, machine learning, graphics, gaming, design, and developer tools.
According to the company, developers will be able to ask questions and interact directly with Apple engineers and designers during the sessions.
The firm also confirmed that Apple Developer Forums will remain active throughout the conference week for additional technical support and discussions.
Apple Design Awards finalists revealed
Apple also announced the finalists for the 2026 Apple Design Awards. The awards recognize achievements in app and game design across categories such as inclusivity, innovation, interaction, social impact, and visuals and graphics.
This year, 36 finalists were selected. Apple said the winners will be announced in the coming weeks through the Apple Developer website.

Swift Student Challenge honors young developers
