The flagship over-ear Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is finally here. Equipped with improved ANC, triple drivers, a 10-mic setup, and a glass and titanium build, these $399 headphones are more premium than ever, and here’s everything you need to know about ‘em.
Over-the-ear Nothing Headphone (1) Pro launched
Nothing has introduced its flagship over-ear headphones called the Headphone (1) Pro with a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, an xMEMS driver with a silicon diaphragm made for treble, and another midrange precision dynamic driver, completing its triple-driver setup. This is something not common on headphones, which makes the Headphone (1) Pro one of the few.
Overall, the Headphone (1) Pro supports LDAC for both wired and wireless high-res audio, with wired lossless over USB-C up to 24-bit/192kHz. Nothing has improved the active noise cancellation (ANC) capability on these headphones using a 10-mic setup that can collectively offer up to 46 dB of noise reduction. The smartphone maker giant claims 40% better ANC on these headphones thanks to more optimally placed mics.
The headphones are equipped with Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking capabilities that can switch across various modes such as Live House, Standard, Concert Hall, Club, and a special mode called Studio B by Metropolis Studios. You can control and switch modes and EQ options aboard the Nothing X app.
Icing on the cake is its not-so-different yet premium build quality. Based on the DNA of the original Headphone (1), the Pro uses a titanium and aluminum frame to make it sturdy and lightweight, plus a glass enclosure that makes it scratch-resistant.
You get a 10% wider headband and increased padding thickness, which improves comfort. Moreover, reportedly 50% of the flexible cups and cushions make it softer to wear; at least that is what Nothing claims, but we will get to know it once we get our hands on these headphones.
The headphones use Bluetooth v6.1 with Microsoft Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair for better connectivity. Moreover, they enable users to connect with Apple devices as well. Other features on-board include auto-wear detection and a low-latency mode that can be used for gaming or an immersive viewing experience.
On the battery front, Nothing Headphone (1) Pro is equipped with a 1,060mAh battery pack that can reportedly deliver up to 30 hours of life when the ANC is enabled. It goes all the way up to 68 hours when the ANC is disabled.

Well, over-the-ear Nothing Headphone (1) Pro retails at $399 on Nothing’s website, as well as Best Buy and Amazon, and is available for purchase from September 29. On Nothing UK, it is listed at a retail price of GBP 349. You can choose between two colorways for the headphones: black and white.
