The Galaxy Tab S7 series is not new to us considering the leaks and speculations around these upcoming tablets from the company have been hitting the rumor mill very consistently in the past couple of weeks. Previous rumors and reports suggested that this tablet series is coming in two variants. The renders of the Galaxy Tab S7 are all over the internet the other day and now, a new leak comes to us from a Samsung insider who claims that both the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7+ will boast a 120Hz display.

This leak comes to us from a reliable leakster and Samsung insider Ice Universe. The Galaxy Tab S7 series could possibly be Samsung’s answer to the iPad Pro series from Apple. The iPad Pro is already unveiled with a similar refresh rate display i.e., 120Hz ProMotion screen. Considering this is a flagship tablet series from Samsung we can expect these devices to feature AMOLED display tech which would give the Galaxy Tab S7 series a slight edge over the iPad Pro. A few reports also suggest that the Galaxy Tab S7 series likely will include the support for HDR10+.

It is a safe move by the company, as with the last year’s Galaxy Tab S6, one of the biggest complaints is about the display refresh rate itself.  As most of us already know, Samsung’s tablet series is designed just to compete with Apple’s iPad Pro series. Like mentioned earlier, last year’s Galaxy Tab S6 was unveiled with a standard 60Hz display whereas Apple, on the other hand, is using a 120Hz ProMotion display on its iPad Pro series since 2017. As of now, there is no official confirmation around the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series. But according to the same Ice Universe reports, we can expect the Galaxy Tab S7 series to unveil in the month of August during the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Watch 3, and Buds X.

According to the leaked renders shared by tipster OnLeaks in collaboration with Pigtou, who also shared the renders of Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Plus, Samsung is planning to release two variants. The smaller Galaxy Tab S7 comes with an 11-inch display and the larger Plus variant comes with a 12.4-inch display. It is very likely that both these devices come with AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rate. The 11-inch variant will measure 253.7 mm x 165.3 mm x 6.3 mm. Both these devices come with a metallic casing and will also feature a very minimal bezel surrounding the display.

On the back, we get to see a dual-rear camera setup with a vertically stacked setup along with a flash. A few reports also suggest that Samsung could possibly include the third camera on the S7+ variant. The Samsung logo is also placed vertically. As for the front-facing camera, it is placed towards the left side of the top bezel. We also get to see volume rockers and power key on the right side of the device and two speaker grills are found on the top. On the bottom, there is a USB Type-C port for charging.

The Galaxy Tab S7 series is the company’s take on the Apple iPad Pro 2020. The smaller 11-inch Galaxy Tab S7 passed through China 3C’s certification which revealed the possible battery capacity of the device itself. The model number of Tab S7 is EB-BT875ABY. The device with this model number is expected to come with a 7760 mAh battery which is an upgrade from 7040 mAh battery found on its predecessor. The large Galaxy Tab S7 Plus was spotted in Bluetooth SIG certification site with model number SM-T976B and comes with a 12.3-inch display and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. Other reports also suggest us the Plus variant might come with whopping 9800 mAh battery.
