Behold for the DC FanDome virtual event 2021 held on October 16th where it released a tonne of new trailers for the upcoming shows and movies from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman to The Flash and more. The fan event also gave us a teaser into the TV shows that the fans of DC will cherish including Super & Lois Season 2 to Batwoman Season 3 and more. Here’s a recap of all the announcements made on the thrilling event that took the DC world by storm on Saturday.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Trailer made a buzz

The 2:38 minute trailer of The Batman gives you all you wanted to know about the upcoming movie starring Twilight fame Rober Pattinson. The second trailer for the movie gives a lot to gasp including more thrilling Batman, the combat scene in a dark hallway, to Catwoman, and a teaser for Batman’s upcoming villain Riddler. The movie comes after being delayed several times so it will be a great way to escape into the DC verse. Let’s see how Matt Reeves’ interpretation of Batman works out.

The movie is slated to come to theaters on March 4, 2022, so we don’t have much time to binge-watch all previous Batman movies and recall everything there is to be relevant with the upcoming movie. By the way, who loved Pattinson’s batman? What are your thoughts on Ben Affleck, Micheal Keaton, or Chris Bale’s batman? Comment below.

Black Adam

Okay, I know that DC fans have been waiting for Black Adam to arrive ever since Shazam! Hit the theatres. The DC FanDome presents a sneak peek into the upcoming antihero Black Adam played by The Rock Dwayne Johnson coming on July 29th, 2022, to change the hierarchy of power. The teaser trailer gives a peek into the opening scene where Black Adam shows a glimpse of what he can do. The movie will also see cameos from some of the members of the Justice Society of America so we will have to wait to know who will appear in the movie.

Watch out for the teaser trailer and get ready for a blast on July 29th, 2022.

The Flash

You don’t forget about Flash, do you? Ezra Miller’s The Flash gets its first look at the DC FanDome as a standalone movie showing how Barry Allen (The Flash) travels in the past when his mother, Nora Allen, was still alive. Traveling anywhere in the universe across space-time creates ripples. Battery ends up in alternate dimensions teasing deeper into the multiverse in the DCEU. Turns out Marvel isn’t the only one teasing the multiverse.

The first look gives a sneak peek into the bat cave with Michael Keaton’s voiceover on top along with Ben Affleck’s Batman reprising his role in the movie. There’s a lot of buzz around The Flash so there’s no chance a DC fan would miss it when it arrives in the theaters on November 4th, 2022. I know the wait is long but it is worth it.

Sequel: Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

Black Manta is back and he wants vengeance from Aquaman. The sequel will be epic with charismatic cinematic shots starring Jason Momoa as Aquaman along with Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Amber Heard to name a few. The sequel is super exciting and we got to see a sneak peek into the upcoming movie at the DC FanDome 2021 event although it was a behind-the-scenes teaser trailer revealing minor scenes along with a lot of BTS cutaways.

The video shows Aquaman in his new stealth suit, Black Manta’s desire to kill Aquaman and seek vengeance, and the charismatic Xebel Kingdom princess Mera played by Amber Heard. Directed by James Wan, the movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters near you on December 16, 2022. This is barely a month after The Flash is released so 2022 will be epic for DC fans.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Do you think we are done yet? Turns out DC FanDome 2021 had a lot of announcements and in fact, we are still counting them. Shazam! Fury of the Gods is another superhero movie from DC. Released as a sequel to the 2019 movie Shazam! Played by Zachery Levi, the movie shows Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren in their costumes playing Kalypso and Hespera, the daughter of Greek god Atlas, respectively.

As you have seen in the previous installment, the movie consists of a group of teenage actors and their superhero versions played by Zachery Levi, Meagan Good, Ross Butler, Adam Brody, and others. It is scheduled to release on June 2nd, 2023, directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by Geoff Johns and Peter Safran.

Peacemaker starring John Cena

He is back playing the character of Peakmaker from The Suicide Squad fame and now, he has a standalone HBO Max show. The trailer gives you a lot to digest about Peacemaker and his team killing off bad people “unless there’s a mistake” (pun intended). The best part about the series, the Peacemaker gets a hug from an eagle, just saying.

Filled with humor, comedy, and Gunn-y references (directed by James Gunn), Peacemaker trailer is lighthearted and gives a peek into what to expect with the other crew members including Steve Agee (as John Economos), Jennifer Holland (as Emilia Harcourt), Freddie Stroma (as Vigilante and a district attorney) to name a few. The series goes live on HBO Max on January 13th, 2022.

DC TV Shows

Apart from the movies and HBO Max show, get ready to witness a tonne of TV series including new seasons and a whole new Batman: Caped Crusader. Batwoman Season 3, Superman & Lois Seasons 2, Stargirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, the animated series of Aquaman: King of Atlantis and Harley Quinn will rock the DC world when they arrive. HBO Max has renewed new seasons for Doom Patrol, Titans, and Young Justice as well. A new show on CW called Naomi is also debuting next year.

Hands down Batman: The Animated Series remains the best interpretation of the dark knight ever. Warner Bros. is tapping into the hit show with the new Batman: Caped Crusader directed by Matt Reeves. The first trailer is out now showing the caped crusader set in the time when there’s no justice league but just the batman.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Well, the four members of the Suicide Squad headed by Amanda Waller’s Task Force X are tasked with a simple job, kill the Justice League. The second trailer for the upcoming action-RPG game offers a cinematic spectacle into the storyline based on Arkhamverse. Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Batman, and Flash pit against the Suicide Squad which includes King Shark, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and Captain Boomerang.

You will get to see a lot of DC components in the game including Poison Ivy’s vicious plants, Wonder Woman’s lasso, a batmobile, and an evil Robin to name a few. The game is all set to arrive on Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and PC in 2022.

Gotham Knights

Apart from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, get ready to play Gotham Knights. At the DC FanDome, DC revealed a story trailer for the upcoming game which has Arkham-style adventures to get your hands on. The game is slated to arrive sometime in 2022 and will follow the same action-RPG gameplay as the Suicide Squad game. It has characters like Red Hood, Robin, Nightwing, and Batgirl.
