  • Leaked model number SM-F958 suggests the existence of a high-end Galaxy Z Fold 6.

In the last few days, there have been hints that Samsung will not follow its tradition of foldable smartphone models in 2024. It is said that the top-of-the-line Z Fold 6 is scheduled to be introduced along with a less expensive version, per the manufacturer. Recently, there has been an increasing buzz around the possibility of bringing an “Ultra” high-end model.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra Leak Suggests Two Foldable Models in 2024

Reputable tech site GalaxyClub recently discovered a model number connected to the speculated “Ultra” variant: SM-F958 leaked, making it easy for these rumors to spread. It follows the same instructions as the previous processes.

In the case of a flagship model, the last digit of the number usually tells us its series. Based on this pattern, it can be safely deduced that the main Galaxy Z Fold 6 model would bear a model number SM-F956 and the series started with earlier Fold models (for instance, SM-F946 for Z Fold 5) would be continued.

The “8” is the most distinguishable component in the SM-F958 model number. Samsung’s latest Galaxy S24 Ultra (SM-S928) confirms the persistent trend of using the “8” in the naming scheme across most of the “Ultra” models in its product lines. This correlation confirms the fact that there may be a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 “Ultra” mode.

However, it should be pointed out that the number ‘N’ in the leaked “SM-F958” sample model that has only two digits indicates it is for a South Korean release. There is still no evidence from any credible source that the same model number is used for the other regions. However, a worldwide launch usually comes after a regional launch hence there should not be any immediate worry.

One more thing, which is the SM-F956 model number designated for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 by the leaks is another thing that is still unknown. For Samsung, July 2024 shall be the month for the launch of the subsequent option of foldable electronics.

There is a good chance that the “Ultra” variant is going to get leaked and a more regular model might show up at a reasonable price point which makes Samsung’s forthcoming foldable device come out in style. With the approaching pupillage, while not much else is known at this stage, stay tuned for more updates.
