Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Specs: Everything You Need to Know

The Design

Digging into what Galaxy S24 Ultra brings to the table, it has upgraded to a titanium alloy (yes, iPhone 15 Pro ain’t alone now) replacing it with S23U’s aluminum. The switch comes after some obvious reason and of course, because it reduces weight, it is scratch-resistant and durable. The S24 Ultra is 0.3mm thinner, 1.1mm shorter, and has slimmer bezels compared to the S23 Ultra. The phone uses a Gorilla Glass Armor that at the front and rear which is 75% less reflective and 4x tougher.

The Display

Moving on, we have a 6.8” QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a punch-hole cut-out (of course, for screen real estate reasons). The display has a variable refresh rate from 1Hz up to 120Hz and lights up to a whopping 2,600 nits using an improved Vision Booster. The display is humongous making the viewing experience a bliss.

The Performance

Moving on, we get a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood and yes, it is across all countries. It is a Galaxy AP which could mean an overclocked Prime core. The South Korean giant has added a vapor chamber twice the size of the S23U giving the phone an upper hand in thermal performance.

The Camera

Samsung has been building ground for exceptional smartphone photography and Galaxy S24 Ultra is undoubtedly an impressive instance.

The phone uses a quad-camera setup with AI playing a major role in the processing. There’s a 200MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 12MP 13mm ultrawide shooter with f/2.2 aperture, and a 10MP f/2.4 telephoto with 69mm focal length as a part of the usual setup.

What has been upgraded is the new 50MP 115mm telephoto shooter with OIS, f/3.4 lens, and a 5x optical zoom with OIS. This completes the rear cam setup capable of 8k@24/30fps. Finally, the front is a 12MP f/2.2 26mm shooter with 4K@30/60fps capability.

The Battery

On the battery pack, we have the same 5000mAh Li-Ion battery pack as that of S23U. It has 45W wired, 15W wireless, and 4.5W reverse wireless support when you need to juice.

The AI and the Features

Undoubtedly, Samsung has been rooting for AI prowess on the Galaxy S24 series and luckily, it didn’t fail to charm us. The phone is equipped with Live Translate, a feature that lies in the native phone app translating everything you want. There’s an Interpreter that transcripts conversations between two people in different languages in a split-screen view. The Transcript Assist feature uses AI to transcribe everything, summarise, and translate.

The Circle to Search feature is a gesture-driven feature that Samsung developed with Google to allow users to tap, scribble, highlight, or circle on the screen to get results.

When it comes to the features, we have a tonne. Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 7 tri-band, GPS, USB-C 3.2, NFC, an under-the-display fingerprint scanner, and UWB support, among others. There’s an AKG-tuned stereo speaker setup in the mix.
