Google Pixel 7 Pro: Everything You Need To Know About It

Google Pixel 7 Pro is literally the epitome of what you can get from Google at the moment. With a hefty price tag, the phone does bring a better camera and a better display when compared to its vanilla variant although it offers a much higher upgrade compared to its predecessor.

A true flagship, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is powered by the next-gen Google Tensor G2 SoC fabbed by Samsung’s 4nm process. The CPU uses two Cortex-X1 cores plus two A78 and four A55 battery-efficient cores. The CPU is 20% efficient and 60% faster than before. There’s an advanced AI onboard that polishes the photos, and removes noise and blur from old phones capable of improving photos as a whole.

It is paired with Mali-G710 MC10 GPU that promises better performance than the last-gen G78 GPU along with 35% better machine learning tasks.

Moving on, the phone uses 12GB RAM and 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB of internal storage. There’s no microSD card slot although you still get a nano-SIM and an eSIM line for those who want to use two phone numbers at once.

On the back, you have a triple rear camera setup. The primary snapper is a 50MP sensor with a 4-in-1 binning and 1/1.31” sensor size with an f/1.85 lens. The second snapper is a 12MP ultrawide snapper with auto-focus and 125.8° FoV where the autofocus is an upgrade over the predecessor. Finally, there’s a 48MP telephoto lens with 30x Super Res Zoom that you won’t find on the vanilla version.

The primary cam has the capability to shoot 4K videos at up to 60fps and there’s both OIS and EIS as well. It can capture 10-bit HDR videos as well. Moreover, Google Tensor G2 along with its high-res snapper offers cinematic blue among other high-end photography chops on your purchase. The telephoto can zoom up to 30x thanks to its 5x optical. Since it is now a larger sensor, you can pretty much get high-resolution shots with Pixel magic on the results.

At the front, you get a 6.71” AMOLED punch-hole snapper with QHD+ LTPO resolution. There’s a 10 to 120Hz variable refresh rate as well and promises 25% higher peak brightness. Moreover, you will also get Corning Gorilla Glass Victus on top for protection. It’s obvious that the bezels are slim given the fact that it is a flagship phone.

On the battery side, there’s a 5000mAh battery under the hood that comes paired alongside 30W fast charging tech advertised to go from 0 to 50% in 30W. There’s reverse wireless charging available too.

As usual, both the Pixels have Android 13 out-of-the-box with guaranteed three major OS upgrades till Android V16 and five years of security patches onboard.

Moving on, the phone has the same Tensor G2 SoC as that of the Google Pixel 7. Along with that, there are 128GB and 256GB of storage with 8GB of RAM.
