In a collaboration between leakster @OnLeaks and iGeeksBlog, an HD render for upcoming Google Pixel 4 shows it in it’s all glory. Based on the previous rumors and other intel, the render for Google Pixel 4 shows the phone with a square camera bump at the back along with a dual-camera setup with LED flash and a 3D ToF sensor. However, something is interesting in the front.
The vanilla Pixel 4 is a smaller version of the Pixel 4 XL and has a considerably larger forehead and chin. The forehead features a dual-camera cutout with a ToF sensor and a mysterious cutout can be seen in the render. Well, based on previous rumors, it is highly possible that it fits in a radar-based Project Soli that takes the help of a radar system to allow touchless gesture and navigation. Last year, Google powered its Pixel devices with excellent photographic prowess which is likely to continue in coming devices such as the most competent Night Mode which has proven its caliber many times.
With a dimension of 147.0 x 68.9 x 8.2 mm and the report also states that smaller Pixel 4 will have a larger chin and forehead compared to the Pixel 4 XL. It is also reported that Pixel 4 could sport facial recognition system which has become a norm in flagship smartphones. There won’t be a 3.5mm headphone similar to its predecessors. Furthermore, the device will not have dual front-firing speakers as seen in last year’s phone and it will be replaced by a single noise-canceling speaker on the top that will act as an earpiece for calls as well.
Google Pixel 3 has a Snapdragon 845 SoC with 4GB RAM but that was last year. For now, we could get Pixel 4 with the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC and a higher degree of RAM and other configuration on the table. Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL are expected to launch this fall so stay tuned here on True-Tech for more updates.
