After the uber-successful Honor View, 20 series which is also known as V20 and Glory 20 (China), Huawei subbrand Honor is looking forward to going pro with a ‘Pro’ model. According to the rumors that are doing the rounds in China, Honor is planning to launch Honor 20 Pro or Glory 20 Pro on a global scale sporting a new Sony IMX600 camera sensor that could arrive as early as April 25.

It has been more than a month after Honor launched its View 20 lineup and interestingly enough, it sold more than 1.5 million units in the first month itself. However, a post on Weibo, Chinese social networking site, has appeared with intel on upcoming View 20 Pro (Glory 20 Pro) that will be raised to a pro level in terms of camera prowess similar to Huawei P30 Pro.

AS per the said post, Honor View 20 Pro will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and since it is touted to launch globally and not just in China, it will be the first smartphone to feature this tech outside China from Honor. Apparently, there will be three storage configurations i.e. 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and finally, a larger 8GB/256GB variant and all three will be running on Huawei’s in-house Kirin 980 SoC which is the same as Huawei P30 Pro.

The report also claims that Honor View 20 Pro will have P30 Pro’s camera prowess starting with the latest 48MP Sony IMX600 sensor paired along with 8MP telephone lens, 20MP ultra-wide-angle lens although there is no trace of a ToF sensor as of now. The device will feature a 3x optical zoom which if not surpasses P30 Pro’s 10x zoom but it is not bad at a price tag that the post mentioned. The front will be paired with a 32MP sensor. It will feature a 3,650 mAh battery paired along with 22.5W fast wired charging speed and a Type-C port.

Further, the device will feature Huawei’s GPU and CPU Turbo mode, Link Turbo, Gaming+ and other software boosters that we have seen with Honor Magic 2 as well. Finally, the device will start at a price tag of CNY2,229 which is roughly $345 for its 6/128GB variant while the mid 8/128GB model will carry a price tag of CNY3,399 or $505 and finally, the largest 8/256GB model will be priced at CNY3,799 which is approximately $565 and way less than what Huawei P30 Pro would cost.
